The company Gesvalt has launched the I Corporate Volunteering Programme in collaboration with the Integra Foundation, through its School of Empowerment.
The initiative is being well received by employees, with more than thirty volunteers already taking part in the workshops.
The aim of the workshops is to enable candidates to learn how to manage their job search and improve their employability. Not only theoretical but also practical knowledge is shared, aimed at strengthening their self-esteem and identity.
Each workshop lasts 2 hours, adapting to the volunteer's availability, and is held at the Fundación Integra headquarters in Madrid, Seville, Barcelona and Valencia.
The Madrid office has already had the opportunity to count on the first Gesvalt volunteers, who offered the workshop “Improve your CV”, a workshop on “My Rights and Obligations as an employee”, given to people in severe exclusion.
About the programme
The Strengthening School of the Integra Foundation is a comprehensive programme that seeks to recover and channel into employment the skills of people who, due to their situation of social exclusion or disability, have difficulty accessing the labour market. The programme is aimed at homeless people, young people at risk, ex-prisoners, ex-drug addicts, women victims of gender-based violence, people with disabilities, etc. These are people who, despite living in very complicated situations, are willing to leave their past and their difficulties behind in order to embark on a new future.
Focused on people
The initiative promoted by Gesvalt's management has been implemented by the People Department, which, in line with its commitment to people and the contribution of each one of them to the company's success, has changed the image of the area, becoming “People Area.”
In line with the new look of the People Area, the team has also changed the names of its positions.
Heading the team is Victoria Galán, people director, together with Gema Saiz, as senior people and training consultant, and Lisa Porres as senior talent and compensation consultant.
