What is a RICS valuation?
These are valuations in accordance with standards contained in the “RICS Valuation Standards”, known as the Red Book, and adopt the International Valuation Standards of the IVSC (International Valuation Standard Council).
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is the leading international organisation representing real estate professionals, recognised globally for its high standards of quality. It sets out criteria to be met in reports and regulates the conduct of its members.
What is an RICS assessment for?
Given the different purposes for which the client needs the valuation report, it is especially recommended for assets for rent or linked to economic operations, of any real estate, residential, tertiary, office or commercial, and industrial activity.
It is also required in the valuation of the assets of financial institutions, funds and international investors, SOCIMIs, although it can be used by any client who needs a totally reliable and objective value, whatever their purpose.
What does an RICS assessment provide?
A RICS report provides transparency and independence, has international reciprocal recognition, and is carried out by professionals of the highest ethical and professional standards, capable of meeting the challenges of an ever-changing sector.
