During the first quarter of 2025, the overall growth in the main indicators of the Spanish economy that was already evident in 2024 continued. Furthermore, as was the case at the end of last year, growth was characterised above all by its moderate and progressive nature. The indicator that best demonstrates this overall economic progress is gross domestic product, which grew by 3.21% year-on-year at the end of 2024, slightly exceeding the Bank of Spain's forecast for this indicator in the final months of the year.
