What is a pharmacy assessment for?
A pharmacy is assessed on the basis of two fundamental aspects, namely data and methodology.
It is necessary to know general information, i.e. macroeconomic data and environmental data (demographic, sociological or economic), pharmacy information (opening hours, on-call, special customers, reputation or experience) and most importantly, financial information, in this case the operating accounts, as well as the associated risks.
What would be the methodology?
The methodology consists of a financial hypothesis, a 10-year projection based on the data provided; a valuation method, discounted cash flows, based on the data provided, and associated risks; and a cross-checking procedure, with other methods, such as calculation by multiples based on turnover and location of the asset.
